After a 3 month testing and evaluation period, the Harbor County Sheriff's Office announced contract partnerships with Whelen Engineering and Code 3 Public Safety this morning.

Code 3 will be providing the new primary light bar for the Sheriff's Office patrol cars, the RX 2700 MC featuring multi color light module technology that allows a single light module to display multiple colors.

Whelen Engineering has been a partner with the Sheriff's Office since it's launch 2 years ago, and will continue to be a contractor with the department, providing the new secondary lighting package for the patrol cars as well as siren and light controls.

The new technology will begin hitting the streets in June, and the Sheriff's Office expects to have the entire fleet upgraded by the end of the year.
